Trivia Question (pattern Seated dollars)

Lost in a post in another thread, I asked this question:

 

I really like the patterns of Seated Dollars dated in the mid-1860's that used the regular dies of the W/M era. I referred to them as off-metal restrikes. Why did I call them restrikes?

Wouldn't they actually be novodels? (is that spelled right?)

Good point. Some are novodels, and some are restrikes.
