If the color of the coin is as shown it has been dipped IMO. The pic is a bit small so I can't venture a guess.

MDS - I'd agree with Robert that the coin appears to lack lustre. It's very hard to tell from a scan, but there's enough information in that simple observation to keep a person like me from pulling the trigger on that coin. What's more, the hair of Liberty and the eagle's breast look like they have flat spots on them; not from strike weakness, but as if AU or cleaned. If I did not have that coin in-hand, I'd pass by a wide margin.
