1985-P Washington Multi-Error

Here is one that I picked up last year and just found it today while I was doing some cleaning.

 

It has no rim and the edge is smooth!!

 

hm If I sent it to NGC what would they put on the label?

It is off-center, but I think they will call it broadstruck. The coin is missing the reeding because it was struck out of the collar.

1985-P is a darned tough coin regardless, but such a grotesque example is truly remarkable!

 

James here is the kicker, I paid less than $10 for it on eBay last year. The seller had a crappy picture and you couldn't tell if it was BU or AU. I thought I would take a chance and buy it!!

I was broad struck once, the red hand print on the side of my face went away after a few hours. :blush:

 

That’s a nice example of a modern error, I like it!

 

$10 bucks…nice.
