Best finds under $10

18 posts in this topic

Pretty simple, Please reply with a couple of pictures of your best finds / buys and price paid. All purchases under $10. Here are a few of mine to start things off.

1) 1981 S proof set $10 (Type II cent, nickel, and half)

2) This coin I picked up 4 years back for $2.50. It was an off center lincoln cent with the last three number of the date visible (991). See photo, this coin is really cool, one of my favorites.

3) The final one for right now is a 1974 proof set I picked up for $5. The cent and dollar have the most unusual toning. When I saw it I, i thought if that wasn't sealed by the government I would have said it was Artificial toning.

Here are 3 of mine. Now it is your turn. Please post some of your best coins under $10.

My 1966 half dollar came in a SMS that cost around $10, not sure the exact price, it's now in a 66 Ucam holder. Not too shabby..... and, my 1966 dime, still from a $10 set, now resides in a 68 Ucam holder. The last couple that have sold were in the $2500 range.

Is that the s7 die clash? Anyhow, can't remember the number right off the top of my head, but the clash with a gold coin.
How often do you get to quote yourself? :D

Anyhow, is it the S-9, FS-003, clashed with a half, not gold as stated before?
