Hi Folks just after an opinion .

 

Do you think this would grade ?

There are some rim marks and also there looks to be a scratch on the shield

I would grade this one EF-40 with some rim bumps, which would net grade it to VF-30. It's a decent raw coin, but I don't think that either of the leading grading services would give it a grade.

I see this as barely making EF-40, but more important to me is that huge break along the upper obverse rim! Is that a lamination? or a die problem?

VF-30-35 in my mind. I think it's a hit or miss. One day you might get slabbed another you wouldn't.

The staining below the eagle worries me also, and I agree with a high VF.
