"W" Coin designation code

The "W" designation was used for a period of time by NGC to indicate a "white", untoned coin. This designation is no longer used by NGC and there appear to be little, if any price adjustments because of it.

 

Also note that should coins with "W" designations be resubmitted for Regrade, Designation Review, or Reholder, the "W" will be removed in order to bring the newly holdered coin into conformity with our present designation codes.
