1856 flying eagle proof cent Snow 9 had a centering dot applied beneath the upper left serif of the N in cent on the reverse. This is also called a restrike.

1884 morgan dollar. Dot is adjacent to morgans initial.

1884 Morgan dollar. It comes with and without a dot on both the obverse and reverse. the dot on the obverse appears on the truncation of the bust and on the reverse it is on the ribbon that ties the wreath. in each case it is close to the designers initial. th dollars come with no dots, dot on obverse, dot on reverse, and dot on both sides.
