French-Indo china question??

Hi..I was looking up in Krause this 1947 1 Piastre I recently purchased...

 

there are 3 different ones listed..the essai is $650..which this is not

 

the other 2 varieties are a "security edge" that's $300 in bu..and a reeded edge which is $40 in BU.....

 

my question is, what is a "security edge?"..I'm pretty sure that mine is probably the lower valued coin but would still like to know what they mean by security edge...........thanks..

Could you show us a picture of the edge? A security edge is just a different style around the edge - if it looks like normal reeding, then that is what it is.
