The Netherlands(Beatrix) has this profile on half the coin. Looks very strange when aligned with the lettering. Belgium one , when I saw the first one I thought it was a mint error but then I found the second one. The design on both these coins must have a story behind them. Belgium19865F-2.jpg

Netherlands has this hang up over wanting to use very "modernistic" designs on there coins (Think "modern art"). As a result their coins are typically hidious. They make the US stuff look GOOD.

I've always liked the Beatrix design. On the other hand, the design of the Belgium coin is hideous in my opinion - and I have quite a few of them from all the time I've spent there. :sick:
