What rating equals "Brilliant Uncirculated"?

2 posts in this topic

I am looking at a 1921 S$1 Peace Dollar certified by NGC as a Fitzgerald Collection "Brilliant Uncirculated" Peace Dollar 1834685-226 from Fitzgerald's Nevada Club Reno Hoard, and I would like to know just what NGC rating "Brilliant Uncirculated" equates to, and if/how you can research a specific coin just using the ID # number (1834685-226) on it. Anyone know what the value of this coin is?

The BU grade was assigned at the request of the submitter, who did not wish a numeric grade. This is done only for certain promotions, and there is no way to know from that description alone the numeric grade. There's no reason, however, that you can't submit it for conventional grading.
