DwaineO's 7070 Type Set all pages - Caution Dialuper Large Pictures

14 posts in this topic

Well I have been breaking these up as I get them but today decided to combine them all into one thread for all to enjoy. All pictures are courtesy of Bob Campbell. Not counting the gold page I am only missing three coins from having this album complete before I start upgrading. The coins I am missing are two commem's and the first seated dollar.

Dooly - it took me about a year to get it to where it is today and it is not complete. Not sure if it will ever be complete.

My main goal for this was to try and keep the coins under $150 and try to get them in the F-VF range. Some I purchased for more than 150 and some are XF-AU-BU.

One thing is I am trying to find circulated commem's that are related to or close to my home state of NC. Haven't been able to find many that are well circulated. I could go with others but I wanted to focus on commem's in states around NC or commem's for NC.

So if any of you find any please let me know.

I think that a Huguenot-Walloon commemorative half would be perfect for your set. They are relatively cheap and are easier to find in nice circulated crustiness. Plus their history is relative. My direct ancestors were Huguenots in 1500's France but they fled to England to keep the Catholics from literally burning them to ashes. Then the first Easley came to Virginia in 1680 who spread from there. So this commem has lots to do with NC history!

Yes, but I have had trouble finding nice circulated examples. I can find plenty of MS coins but they just don't fit.
