Professional conservation may be able to help this piece. Exactly what might be done and how the coin might turn out after to conservation is difficult to say without having the coin in hand. If the coin can grade with NGC--as long as it does not have any permanent surface problems that can not be conserved--it certainly could be certified by NGC following the conservation.
