Would NGC grade this coin with a large rim hit?

I have seen some NGC graded coins with rim hits, but none quite as large as the one on this coin. Would NGC grade this coin with a large rim hit?

That rim ding is fairly obvious, so I'm afraid it will likely be a No Grade.

If your goal is to have this coin authenticated and in a holder, I would recommend submitting it for NCS Details Grading. If the rim hit is acceptable for NGC certification, then you will receive it in an NGC holder. If the rim hit is damage, then it will be in an NCS Details Grade holder. You will be charged fees according to the company that does encapsulate your coin.
