please click the links below and tell me if u have ever seen this? I am not a collector of coins, it weighs exactly what it should and i have heard of split coins but put under a microscope and exrayed there is NO split in this coin. Can you give me some info on it?

Hi,

 

Take a look at your fourth picture, above the words STATES. See how there are 2 lines running around the rim? There should only be one there. What happens is that someone takes the coin, and cuts around the coin like you would cutting a pie crust out of a pan, then fills in the hollowed area with another coin.

I have heard of that i have the coin here and those lines are not there i sharpened the image in photo shop that may be where they are comming from. I have heard of that too but the xray shows it as one solid object, i would think that the coin would not weigh exactly what it should if it were cut out.
