1938 - Doubled Date - Probably get a 65, but I'm sorry to inform you that is not a doubled date. That is machine doubling and is worthless, actually its considered damage.

 

1939 S - I'd say 64, but you might get lucky and get 65.

 

1940 - This one would be a nice 65 if it weren't for the gash between CE on the reverse. I'd give it 64.

 

1944 - 65 I guess

 

1951 D - Very nice 65

 

1952 D - Kinda ugly spotty 64

 

1952 - Just doesn't do it for me, I could see 64

 

1954S - Marks - 65 at least. Spots - 64. Net - ?

 

1954 - 64 max because of the gash on his cheek.

*Well, it’s not exactly worthless…it still maintains the value of a high grade RD Lincoln from 1938

 

1939 S - 65 all day long.

*Looks more like some type of planchet flaw than a gash, but to a point is still distracting

 

1944 - 65 I guess

 

1951 D - Very nice 64

 

1952 D - YIKES, this one brings the rest down.

1954S - Sneezed upon, 63

 

1954 - 63 max because of the gash or what ever is going there on his cheek.

 

I’m not a Lincoln expert, I have a few and I know they are hard to find with out carbon spots, but nice BU example with a small carbon spot is much more attractive to me than one that has spots from unknown sources.

 

They started out great, but a few tossed in there with marginal likeability immediately lowered the bar. Just being honest and up front, in no way am I trying to slam your coins. Collect what your happy with.
