BROADSTRUCK BICENTENNIAL QUARTER CAME IN, AND GUESS WHAT?

3 posts in this topic

It is double struck. I am getting better at spotting them. Doubling on the neck, nose, date, and liberty. Didn't see any on the reverse. Is it possible for it to be double struck on one side, and not the other?

Here it is:

Yes. So long as the struck coin doesn't move relative to the anvil die it will be double struck on only one side if the hammer die moves between strikes.

Can't see it in the picture but the bicentennial issues are highly sought with unusual errors.
