I haven't had any luck. Any opinions on what the text to the left of the head on obverse is? Is that a male or female? Wearing a helmet and something on the shoulders?

Well, if I could read what it said to the left, I would know who it is!

All I know is it seems to be roughly 175-250 AD. That's when I have seen the crescent moon design behind the bust (those aren't his/her shoulders) on other issues.

Yea, I found similar examples on vcoins last night. Also a few examples of Faustina that were similar, but it is the legend that I can't seem to match up. To me, the only thing I can get close to matching the left side obverse legend is "HADRIAN". Hadrian had a beard, so its not him, and I did a search on coins showing his wife/mother/sister and no luck.

Bingo! I agree.

Yes, it was between her and one other that shares the same reverse. Examples 16 and 18 are very similar to mine and one could even be the same dies used on this coin.

"Finding it?" As far as the variety goes, The Thing pointed me to a great website. As for the coin itself, I've had it for years. My uncle gave it to me and I haven't been able to find out what it is untill now.
