NCS can address a wide variety of issues commonly seen on coins.

NCS can remove tarnish, chemical residues, copper spots, corrosion spots, many types of stains, and a wide variety of foreign materials that have become attached to the coin due to improper handling or storage.

NCS can not and will not:

Fill holes, conceal or repair scratches or rim filing, repair luster, repair corrosion damage, re-tone or re-color coins. In short, NCS does not repair or restore coins.

The first part of the NCS submission part is the evaluation of the coin. It is during this stage that NCS determines what if any conservation is necessary. So if you are in doubt about whether your coin needs conservation, feel free to submit it. If conservation is not needed, your coin is not conserved and you are not charged conservation fees.
