If I'm showing my ignorance, I'm sorry, but something bothers me about the coin. The "patina" looks a bit too perfect on both sides and I am wondering why the edges aren't as consistently coated. It would seem to me that at least the recessed areas of the designs would show some color variation.Is this a coin that you found or was it a purchase from somewhere. I know that when my wife and I were in Greece and Italy, copies of ancient coins were plantiful for the tourist trade. I am wondering if MAYBE this might be a copy? Just a feeling. Hope I'm wrong!!

It's a real coin - the patina has chipped away alnog the edges - don't know why - may it was too harshly cleaned after it was dug up

Definitely a real coin. A real green coin, I must say.
