Which image do you prefer?

Been working with Maddy Rae's (www.madisoncollection.net) Photoshop templates and Mark Goodman's book (Numismatic Photography).

How much info do you put on an image? Is diameter and thickness text an adder or detractor?

Suggestions for improvement are welcome!

Image manipulation was done with the "free photoshop" - GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)

I like the second but instead of rim & dia. I would think that maybe metal content or even yr of production would be better if you wanted to add more info to it.

I think you should move all of the text to the bottom leaving the fonts as is.

To be honest, they are both SUPERB photos. Well exposed, well focused, good white balance. I honestly can't criticize those photos in any meaningful way.

That said, I prefer the second photo -- the first one looks to my eye to be just a touch underexposed. However, it really depends on what the coin looks like in-hand as the first photo may be more accurate....Mike
