Some time back, I posted a picture from an 1884-CC Morgan, and it looks like the eagle has an antenna on its beak. Today, I received an 1883-CC from APMEX, and this eagle also has an antenna on its beak. It turns out that they are die polishing lines, but they are far more extensive on the 1883-CC.

 

In addition, the 1883-CC has a bar under the second "8" and a clashed "n" to the left of Liberty's neck. There is also a horizontal die scratch in the eagle's left wing(viewer's right). This is the VAM-5A.
