I sent this to ANACS with some other problem coins I had purchased when I was a kid .

 

Can you guess the grade assigned??

I will guess XF40 net, environmental damage.

I bet one of them EAC'ers could nuture this back to a VF-35.

ANACS gave it a VF35 Details - corroded.

The EAC net grade would be Fine-15. It's a VF-30 with points off for corrosion.

I would also grade it at VF-30.

I give this coin a commercial "VF-20, corroded" grade.

This is one of those coins I will not sell because of the sentimental value attached to it.

I think I bought this when I was a kid old almost 40 years ago .
