Need Help How to Date Japanese Silver Yen Coins

4 posts in this topic

The best reference I know is the Standard Catalog of World Coins. It will help you identify the coins and in the front matter, there are pages that help identify dates on foreign coins. The place I found with the best price on the Standard Catalog is at Brooklyn Gallery of Stamps and Coins. Just look in the category for "Coin Books - World Coins." You can find the 2008 book for the 20th century here.

Good luck.

Mr. Mike.

I am far from an expert(!!!!) but I have the books that give the Japanese to American number "translations". If you can post your coin, someone here, me included, would like to at least take a stab at it.
