This is one of the MOST die polished coins I own now ... The cheek is VERY nice

details in the hair and hairline are impressive.

I once purchased a MS67 PL Morgan but the polish lines were so bad that I sent it back.

 

I would not have kept it as PL either ... IF the Details were not so nice on this I would have passed

Die polishing should not lower the grade, but from an eye appeal standpoint it can lower your ability to re-sell the coin. For that reason, if you don't like the look with the die polishing, pass. For most issues a better example will appear.

 

As more an more coins are stuck from a polished die, the polishing marks tend to fade. Unless the die polishing has something to do with P-L status, you should be able to find a piece with smoother surfaces and a look you will find more pleasing.
