Does the S mint mark on this silver washington quarter look right?

I'm not sure if they vary from year to year but here's the obverse of the 1932-S quarter that I ordered for my step-father.

Ah, if it's a 45, no one would take the time or trouble to add the MM. In that case I'm sure it's just an inverted punch.

what would the value of in inverted punch be on a circulated coin?

Actually my 1945 S looks just like this one. The S has a thicker serif at the top as opposed to the bottom.

Each date the mm can vary a little. Looks normal to me. There's a ton of varieties in the Cherrypicker's guide on washington mm.

Mint mark is correct for a 1945 S. At least the ones I have look like that.

The 32, 32 D, or 32 S, cannot generally be compared with any other quarters from the series, unless we are talking about early 34's and 34 D's
