How long will the states quarter program last?

Is it just going to be one COIN program after another?

 

I'd prefer to see an artistic design without dead presidents but I'd prefer more of these commem programs than go to a reworked Washington quarter or another dead president.

I think the ship has sailed on the whole "dead people on coins" thing. People have come to expect it. If it's not a president, it'll be someone else. Only coin collectors that know how it used to be would want a return to classical coin designs.

Washington has probably been rolling in his grave for some time now. He didn't want his image on a coin. After enough time passed, I suppose it was inevitable that it would happen. It would be nearly impossible to reverse it now. (shrug)
