I would say XF 45 unless the luster is very strong to make it AU. That rim bump may cost you a couple of points, but it is not worthy of a BB.

That coin is an AU 53 maybe an AU 55 .

There are some weak strikes because of worn dies that some people may confuse for ware . Also the rims are weak from a worn out die.

NGC and PCGS have tightened up their grading standards since CAC came along.

I would have thought that would have at least as AU grade not XF.

Send the coin out to ANACS .

Ok I like the fact that grading standards will be tightened up however now I have to second guess the grades assigned to prior NGC and PCGS coins !! Yikes.

This is realy important for one of my favorite coins the Indian Gold Eagle. Price difference jumps substantially from MS 62 to MS 63. I actually have issue with this whole CAC grading standard. What is next someone else to come along and approve CAC coins !
