But, all these years, I thought the Fifth Dimension was talking about the seven consecutive landlords evicting the tenants for lewd behavior.

 

And that would make sense if they were from St. Louis.

Oxfordshire 1, only Conder token from the county. I used to have a mint red one. That one is very nice.

 

It was a genuine trading token made by the merchant William Rusher with the intent that they actually circulate as money. He was a printer and book publisher from Banbury, and he had family living in both Oxford and Reading which is why the token ws also redeemable in those locations as well. (Edge reads Payable at Banbury Oxford or Reading.) The dies were engraved by a diesinker named Arnold from Birmingham and they were struck by William Lutwyche also of Birmingham. Five hundredweight of tokens were struck or 25,760 pieces. As a Conder token it is considered to be fairly common but it's price is a little higher than normal because it is the only token from the county which puts more pressure on it.
