How many of us would like to see "Build Your Own/ Custom" sets?

I'd be interested in non-competitive, custom sets.

For example, I'd like to see a trade dollar set that included type 1 and 2 obverses and reverses. Properly weigthing the coins according to scarcity would be a nightmare, so making it non-competitive would be fine. Trade dollar collectors would know and appreciate the fact that having an 1876 II/II in AU-58 would be more of an accomplishment than having a I/I in MS-63, for example.

I don't want to sound too much like a revolutionary, but we could even allow (gasp) foreign coins to have registries. shocked.gif

Sometimes we have to sacrifice our code of ethics to get a registry going. shocked.gif

I guess it wouldn't be commercially viable for the slabbing companies because there wouldn't be the mad rush to buy coins in specific slabs that competitive sets breed.
