1826 Bust Half

3 posts in this topic

I picked up this beautiful Bust Half at a local coin show after going thru a couple of dozen cleaned, destroyed, ugly busties that people actually buy. There was only one in the pile that was totally worthy of a collection. It's an Overton 101a which is an R2 (die crack under 1826, die crack over ICA, die crack thru 50 C, tine off left of scroll).

The coin is a gorgeous bronze color and evenly worn.

I'd grade it a VF 20, but the ultimate grader is you, I'm much better grading EF-MS 64 Busties.

I'm asking 10% above the price I paid, including postage first class certified mail.

$ 98.00

I'll include two set of pictures, one straight on, and the other tilted. The tilted one sort of captures the reflective surfaces which have a blue blush under the copper toning. Very nice, organic, bustie.
