1798 GOLD English sovereign

Are you sure it is a real coin and not one of the many imitation spade sovereign tokens that were common in the early 1800's? (There are over a thousand different varieties.) What is the weight and a picture would be helpful.

Hi there a 55 should retail for about £500-£550.. to sell i would expect to get £300-£375. hope this helps

Nice ! how about my 1789 AU55 ? scarcer date but how much more ?

 

Also have to get rid of some more.. a couple of 1/3 Guineas 1797 1798, and a 1804 1/2 Guinea MS61 Cheshire :D

(thumbs u hi there your 1789 is booked at the same price as the 98 (shrug)

 

the 1/3rd s are booked at F-£80 VF-£135

and the sov well i have never heard of a 1804 one!!
