1875 Twenty Cent Piece ?1/5 of a dollar?

I ran across these coin photos on NCS's gallery(before and after conserved). Is this coin a token or what exactly-I've never seen a twenty cent piece with this reverse. Just curious.

It is a pattern. It is one of several 20 cent piece designs that were proposed before the coin was made for general circulation.

I once knew a collector, who has since passed on, who was head of heals interested in the "double dimes," which was an alternative name. He had four pattern pieces that provided him with each of the designs that were proposed for the twenty cent piece. There are were three obverse designs and three reverse designs.
