1944 Belgian Coin minted in America?

Came upon a coin,the 1944 Belgian 2 Franc,that supposedly was minted in America on the same blank used for the steel cents.

Is this accurate? For most of1944 Belgium was occupied by Nazi Germany.

Yes, they were minted in the US by the US mint. The US Mint minted coins for a number of countries during WW2
