My new Graded coins have come back from NGC today !

18 posts in this topic

Hi all

Finally got my package back today which was posted on the 13th !!!!!!

First i would like to say almost a perfect job by NGC again (thumbs u and i guess i am getting better myself.

the only down side is the 1887 Morgan which was a vam just not one NGC will label (i would not have sent it as i new with the bad ding it would be lucky to get a MS grade)

And the 1889 Vam DDO ear which was given an abominable MS-62. I have never questioned one of there grades before but it is beyond me how got such a low grade.. have a look at the scans and see if you can see something i have missed.. i have 64's and 65's in my collection which are as good as this one !!!

Sorry to all you dark-side haters but i have also added the ones from the submission on this post (getting lazy in my old age)

well hear we go !!!!!!

Love to see the box in the postman's hands

Sweet coins and not bad grades there either. Love the Russian piece btw. Not sure about the Vam's and Morgans, not my area, but the 1887 looks pretty decent from the scans.

Maybe they were just having an off day. I get those alot.

I'm not a Morgan guy but that '89 sure looks better than a 62 to me... hm

Looks like a lot of rim issues is what bammed the coin .. nice though

I agree with Mike here. Some good rim nics and added to the Obv marks and the 62 may be justified. Nice looking coins tho' there Dooly. I like your PL Morgan!! (thumbs u

"Chuffed to bits"?? I'm assuming that is a good thing. (shrug)

I guess I need to start watching more British shows on public television. :)

How much would that Penny sell for across the pond?

Thanks for the nice comments All..

the penny is 15 leaf type guess not recognized as a type by NGC and would be in the £135 $270 range.. Oh that would get me a nice shield nickel !!!!

have you got one ? i would not mind a 14 leaf to go with it ?

all the best
