I bid a few months ago one one of these on ebay. It went for more than I was willing to pay.

I miss Billy Crawford. I wish he would come back.

Where did he go? I have heard alot about him and all the wonderful things he has done for the hobby.

I don't know. He hung around here and was a great contributor, as far as I recall, and then he disappeared.

Gotcha. I never had the pleasure to chat with him, or even read any threads with a post from him, but I know of his work and contributions to our wonderful hobby.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought in this day and age the US Mint no longer has "die clash" problems with the coining presses?

 

That technology has led them to the point that the dies will no longer close on one another during a mis-feed?

 

So...how can we have a clashed die cent in 2000 and at the Mother Mint no less?
