I would grade this at VF 25 overall, the reverse appears in a little higher grade than the obverse. JMO

Does the camera have a macro setting?

 

It looks to be a very crusty barber half, but these pics are hard to grade from.

Try shooting the coin at a 90 degree angle to the camera. Put the coin flat on the desk and hold the camera up above it.

 

I don't think it's a bad camera, it just needs a little practice.
