A lot of interesting and useful information on this subject i found on http://dig4coins.com/news/1-latest-news/421-information-on-prices-designs-and-information-of-the-2008-american-bald-eagle-coins.html

It is worth mentioning that the American Bald Eagle coin designs were issued back in December 5th, 2007. But U.S. Mint

kept the coins out of sale until recently. There were minted over 700,000 coins, with variable prices.

Thanks for the link. I ordered all of the above and think it is a great theme and great designs, except for the early presidential seal on the dollar's reverse. Well, at least there's some sort of historical precedence to account for this ghastly, chicken-like design.
