picture help!

i have seen many awsome pics from digi cams. i am looking to invest in one that will also get good clear pics of jewelry. could some of you help by letting me know what you work with so i can also have clear coin pics along with being able to not buy a trinocular setup.

 

if you could take some pics of smaller items like gems and earings it would help alot!

The way things are going now buy a USED Digital SLR. I have seen them cheap on ebay. Canon Digital Rebels are cheap now. Under 400.00

For small stuff you need to be sure the lens will do macro.

The Canon Rebels is a great choice when used with a macro lens.

Whatever you pick be readyto spend lots of time learning to use it.

Yes time will be needed learning how to take good photos. I can attest to that.

does any1 have these cams? i need to see what these cams can do. i cant just go buy cams untill i find 1. due to the software with cams now i heard they cant be returned.if it doesnt do small things i cant buy it.

ok what do i need? macro lense? please keep in mind i may sound stupid but i havnt baught a cam since i was lil (im 28). what is macro ? does the cam have macro or is it just a lense that makes it macro?

 

also what lights are used and where do i find them?
