I've noticed that there is no available spot to put this coin in my US type coin registry set. Am I missing something, or is there a reason for excluding it?

This issue is neither a currency strike nor a conventional proof. Rather than create a separate slot for it, this coin is simply omitted in both categories. The same situation applies to the 1994-P and 1997-P specimen nickels.

I guess that that is a good thing for me since I don't own them, yet . Once a slot is made for them, they will exponentially increase in value.
