haha...

I got $4600 federal tax refund this year( but they still kept well over $10K--:() so I decided to finally complete my modern commemorative silver dollar collection housed in Dansco albums. I've need these for a few years now and it seems that prices on the keys actually have dropped. So, 'tis another example where procrastination can pay off.

You need to modify your withholdings if they're taking out that much they shouldn't be...unless you like giving the government interest-free loans.

Fair Tax!

I intentionally claim ZERO for the very reason that I prefer a larger return. Yeah, I know the argument of making the gov't a tax-free loan. Big deal. I look at it more as a savings bonus that I wouldn't do otherwise.

I Did a NEVER I just do the gold :)

I've bought all gold commems since 2002 when I re-entered the market. Bummer that I missed the bimetallic coin.... :sorry:

The 2002 uncirculated SLC Olympic $5 coin had a mintage just a shade over 10K. I noticed the other day that it is finally selling for a premium.

Beyond this, I only have a hand full of the earlier ones like the Washington BU, SOL and, my favorite, Nike on the obverse of the '88 Olympics.

I'm not shocked at the list of the ones you need EZ_E.

The prices for the 95 and 96 coins have been really crazy over the years.

That program caught many by surprise. :)

Fair enough, although if you want to 'force' yourself into saving, there are better ways to do it with pre-tax money. I'm not a financial advisor, though, and I don't know your situation, so I'll leave it at that. ;)

Looks like you'll have a nice haul. Post some photos!

Good work on showing the dedication to fill-in where you are missing some coins. We also intentionally have more taken out in taxes than we anticipate to owe and for the same reasons.
