20 full time NGC graders...

3 posts in this topic

Can someone please enlighten me about the NGC grading and authenication process? I thought there was only 7 graders. Apparently there are 7 senior graders.

"NGC currently employs 20 full time coin graders. Among them are the most skilled and acclaimed professionals in the field, making the NGC team the greatest assemblage of coin graders in history. Following are brief biographies of the senior members of NGC’s coin grading team. "

Does one of the senior graders/authenticators look at the coin after one of the 20 full time coin graders does? At the end, like a finalizeation? (sp?)

Is this a question I should ask NGC ?

I am sure NGC could elaborate on it for you, though they have some information about their grading process on their website at:
