Detecting Unproper cleaning of coins

well hair lines is a big givaway! if it has been rubbed with something abrasive you can tell from them. there are many many ways that can get a coin bodybagged or no grade. if a coin has been dipped and not rinsed correctly it will show films and color and many other things.

there are many conversations on the topic and i think this would get alot of attention in the us coins section. it is conservation, but knowing what to look for is key. so you might want to ask there also. such a huge list it can be frustrating but once you get the hang of it it gets easier to see. but sometimes even the best cant tell.
