1905 IHC DDR??? ANYONE?

2 posts in this topic

I have a 1905 IHC, which certainly looks like it has doubling on the 'ONE' and 'CEN-' of 'CENT'. Anyone ever hear of such a thing? I will try to get images, though, with my feeble cam and scanner, not sure I can get a decent enough image....BUT, is this something anyone has heard of? Thanx!

Quite a few IHCs have what is called Longacre doubling, which carries no premium that I know of. This occurs typically on lettering and can look like a doubled die. Without images of the coin, I would assume it to be Longacre doubling.
