Some good guesses there guys! The answers are...

 

1) The number of varieties from Penny Whimsey by William Sheldon.

 

2) FUN, Florida United Numismatists, was organized on this date.

 

These coin trivia questions are from the monthly newsletter of my local coin club; The Peninsula Coin Club. There is normally a 3rd question, but it always involves a picture of an old coin so I have not included that.

Ahhh, c'mon Sky, give it up with the photo question. I wasn't even in the ballpark so I didn't guess the other two. But with a photo now, hmmm.
