Help me with this gold coin

I think it's from Germany but i don't know anything about it. Has anyone out there seen or know what it is.

what it says is: (topt obv) bishop home(bottom obv )district of Hanau

Ant, I couldn't find any year on it the only number is 986 which is on the second pix between 4:00 and 5:00 right rear the rim.

do you have an idea of what metal it is?

I'm 99% sure it's gold and it's a little more then half the size of a 1912 german 20 mark gold piece. A friend of mine ownes a jewerly store and bought 2 gold german 20 marks and this coin. The geman marks i could tell him about this one I just had no idea. His stores closed today but i can tell you how many MM they are tomorow.

i had him measure it and it is 20 MM and 1 mm thick and 3.9 grams in weight

The .986 is the gold fineness. I can only assume it is a token or medallion of some sort.

if i could figure what the "bishop home " ment . district of hanau is found but i need to know the bishop home. wish i had an era to run off of. this looking stuff up is funn

The guy who sold this coin to him also sold 2 1912 German 20 Marks. I think this coin might be from the same time period as those but i'm not 100% sure.
