Hey Beancounter - I just saw that remark...lol...about how many Barbers I may have...I very well could have around 500 ... far from 32,000.

Another favorite year of mine - 1901...

All my certified Dimes are back from the

Photographer - and now safely in the bank's

Safe Deposit Boxes. [ sad to say ].

I'm thrilled to have all the little gals home again !

Here are the 1902 Dimes...

Beancounter,

One of the joys of collecting is helping out a fellow collector

and making friends with others who share the same passion as yourself.

I'm thrilled I introduced you to UMAKEM - he's a super guy

and I'm happy that you two are hitting it off together.

He's got a great eye for Barber Halves - and I was able to

upgrade three in my second set from his collection.

He has an eBay auction going on this week - which may end in

four or five days - and he's got a screamer of an 1894 - P & S

for sale in nice original crusty surfaces - all high end VF's.

His eBay handle is " Two_TonedVF35" or something like that.

The 1904-S is one of my favorites in the Dime Collection.

This particular Dime as well as a number of other Dimes

in my collection are from the TCP-III Collection - again, Tom,

many thanks for letting me have first crack at your beautiful

collection.

Thanks, Dean. I always look forward to look at your beautiful

Indian Head Cents. The 04-S and the 05-S are even nicer in

hand. Although Todd did a great job imaging the Dimes, there

is nothing like actually having them in hand. My 1905-S is with

out a doubt my favorite in this set.

I just picked up an upgrade to my 1906-D. Image below.

Thanks, Dean. I had a nice AU 55 but upgraded it just before

the January FUN show. My AU 55 went to "Dimeman" who posts

ATS.

I also had a beautifully toned 1907-P Dime in PCGS AU 58 but...

I misplaced it... doh!

Here are the only images I have of that coin:

1907-PDimePCGS58.jpg

Its hiding somewhere around the house...I lost it, I guess...

[ read: FORGOT where I hid it before I could get it to the SDB's !!! ]

Love all your San Francisco SLIDERS!!!!!!!!!! Low mintage as well.

Dean, I sorta figured you liked the San Francisco coins...

The 1909-S Dime I posted earlier is one of the hardest Dimes

to locate in high grade AU condition. I think its one of three

very under rated dates in the whole series !!!

Mike I'm impressed by your dedication to Mr. Barber's coinage. I think you're dedication to him is only exceeded by his dedication to himself! He sure did love himself didn't he! :)

A couple of more additions, both PCGS VF's

Actually I think Charles Barber didn't get the credit he deserves. There are some amazing coins that he produced, and they survived an incredibly long time in circulation, as well as pushing his competition to the next level.

A well struck Liberty nickel (images coming) are really attractive coins.

Love the look of that 11-d! (thumbs u Are you trying to do the complete set in AU 58?

Boiler,

My original goal was a complete set in AU grade; and that was

accomplished, now, I'm trying to upgrade the lower AU's to 58.

The few MS coins I have in my primary set were purchased raw

as AU 58 and when graded came back as MS grades.

Continuing with the precertified Barber Dimes:
