Hi - I found a 1905 Barber dime - PCGS PR 62. Assuming this is an accurate rating for the coin I found - what would be a fair price to pay for it? Any help would be much appreciated as the shop that has it is a long distance from my home and I am going by the place tomorrow and may buy it is the price is fair. Thanks!

My newest addiction - Barber Dimes in VF-XF for

my 1st cousin's 12 yr old son. I know the boy will love this.

Here's something I picked up on eBay - and from my

friend Tom Casey no less. Thanks again, Tom.

I believe I gave my opinion of Proof 62 Dimes across the street.

If you like it - great - when it comes time to sell it - not great.

Buy what you like - and don't worry about other people's opinions.

What's it worth ? [ 1905 Dime PR 62 = $ 325-350 - my best educated guess.]

{RETAIL} If it has Cam features - or beautiful rim toning - you "might" have to

pay a slight premium.

A friend was selling this extremely scarce date Half on eBay and I threw in

what I considered a fair - but low ball bid. Seems that I won the coin .

I got this one in a trade. I'm not a Barber guy but I decided to keep it.

The one below it I bought some time ago. Hard to fit in a coin box.

Mike, that is a gorgeous example.

Thanks, Coindude. I just sent it away for new images.

I'll post 35 new MS Barber Halves' images before New Years.

A couple more new images...

BTW: The 1906-S is a NEWP - I just

bought it at auction at B&M in November.

Thanks, Coindude, but they are not new additions.

They are new images. Yes, I agree with your assesment,

the 1901-P is a fantastic coin - and hands down my favorite.

Wow, fantastic collection (worship)

All look great, but those blue rim toned halves look especially nice.

I also like your 1912 very much.

I'm not familiar with the name on the labels, but is it you?

Yes, Toyonakataro, my name is Mike Hayes,

and these are my coins. I had the pedigree placed on

the coins when I had them regraded - hoping for a "Plus".

The 1901-P is the only one that Plussed. Its now a 64+.

This particular coin came from the Queller collection and

was in an NGC 65 Star Holder when I purchased it from

ANR in December, 2005. Its my favorite coin in the set

for toning.

The 1912-P came out of a Heritage auction in 04/2008.

These super large images are more detremental than

good for the image of the coin !!
