Do you have the coin, or just the folded photo? If you have the coin I would drive to Sarasota and have it certiified-might be worth the trip. At worst, you've been to a milder climate. Good luck.

I believe this is not an "elephant token", but is a token struck much later. It will be interesting to get the NGC results. Please keep us posted!

These are extraordinarily rare, with only three known, while there were thousands of collector's copies made over the years. Additionally, the style of the letters is nothing like that used for the Carolina or London pieces, which leads me to believe that the overwhelming probability is that this is a copy of the token.

I'm afraid the lettering in your photo does not match the style and shape of a genuine God Preserve New England specimen -

 

I would say that it is a more modern reproduction, possibly artificially 'aged' -
