1827 50C curled base 2 for sale

I posted this coin awhile ago, gorgeous XF40 that I bought raw, had holdered by PCGS and later submitted to CAC at the CoinFest (I fantasized about submitting an XF coin to them, and it just so happened we were both in the same place at the same time, so here it is). I'm asking $275 for it. postage included. It's not an easy coin to find nice, and not easy to price correctly...which is why, also, that I like this date so much and spend so much time looking for.

If you look at the Heritage archives, only 28 are listed as having been auctioned off since 2001, and of those, there are NO PCGS XF40's, 45's, AU50's or AU55's.

There was a PCGS 58 that sold for about $1,000, in 2006, and I just won a really nice AU58 at auction for twice that amount, and I don't feel that I overpaid in the least. You simply cannot find these coins in decent condition and with great eye appeal.

This coin was the second one I found raw. I have no trouble selling them. I would keep this except for the fact that I don't have enough money to support my hobby and keep duplicates at the same time. It's a great curled 2.

Happy Thanksgiving!

edited to add: the photo of the holder below is a scan, the other photos are by camera, no photo adjustments, of the raw coin.
