I sent the seller a very polite email asking about this coin. I pointed out the date and the fact that there is a CC mint mark on it and his response:

 

"i honestly dont know anything about this coin!!"

I've been having a series of email conversations with the seller. He says he went on Google and found that it was a rare date. I finally convinced him that he should do a bit more research on the coin before he tries to sell it.

This was just BOGUS with a BIG "B" - He doesn't know anything about the coin yet says its 100% authentic.

 

You should ask him the criteria in which he determined that this was real

Yes, it was a counterfeit and not the first I've seen of a date that never existed for the Trade Dollar series.
